Nothing surprising. Manchester, Internazionale, Barcelona. The three biggest champions in the three biggest leagues in the world. Jose Mourinho didn't disappoint completely, he won the league but Inter bowed out a bit prematurely in the Champions League. As for the other two, flawless. Mostly. Why SAF didnt play his strongest side in the PK loss to Everton in the FA Cup semifinal is beyond me considering that had he won that match, his side would be on the path to an unheard of quadruple. Quadruple? Seriously? Yes. And they could have done it, but this year, a triple will suffice. Manchester United will be crowned Champions of Europe on May 27. Period. They are going to beat Barcelona (who are also shooting for the Spanish/Euro "Treble") simply because they have a better coach and more experienced players. Only last year was this same Manchester team in the final of this prestigious tourney and they won it. Pep deserves a lot of respect for what he has done thus far but he will fall just short of the highly regarded cup, as well as the Treble. Maybe next year, who knows, Gai Assulin is destined to debut for Barca sometime and the kid who is regarded to be the next Messi might just be enough for the Catalonian side to live up to their English rivals.
'till next time,
